I've recently discovered the world of water plants and they are pretty cool. DIY has a fairly easy "pond in a box" do-it-yourself project to create a compact water garden of your very own.
I had no idea Anthropolgie was dabbling in outdoor grills. Here's a tiny (almost 16" high x 12" wide) little guy in a fun, bright color. Would work great on an apartment balcony or some other small space.
From favorite Blue Dot...a nice, simple station to organize all your charging electronics.
"One outlet, four electronic thingamajigs to plug in, let the Juice Box help balance that equation. Mitered walnut box with felted wool removable top tames the tangle of cords, while concealing a power strip of your choosing."
Well, they aren't exactly wooden Legos, but rather interlocking blocks available through Nova Natural. Same concept, though. Sold in sets of 46 or 92, these handmade blocks connect and hold together especially well for ham-handed toddlers.

These are interesting. The Spiral Cellars design/build firm digs a great big hole in your floor and places a functional spiral-staircase wine cellar inside. Cool air is piped in and warm air is piped out, allowing the wine to maintain the ideal temperature. You can have hidden entrances or larger, more conspicuous ones to show off. Pretty wild.
Love these lifestyle photos from Paul Massey. Lots of great interior shots from all over the place.
And he just finished a relaxed, calm renovation of his own home (with lovely photos to prove it, of course). From Living, Etc.
AT has a nice post about decorating with nature...a great way to add some flair to your place for very little money. Rocks and doorstops, branches as coat racks, etc.
A great collection of Flickr-found entryways from Desire to Inspire. All easy to replicate at home without too much trouble. Looks like people made good use with what they already had.
The artist creates each one by hand and no two are alike...
"Emogayu, who is originally from Japan, hand-crafted a series of vases and bowls for us called 'Volcanoes'; Inspired by the natural energy of flowing lava and the way it captures a moment in time forever. Her hopes are that whoever owns her work will not treat them as 'objects' but will allow the energy of their space to flow freely through them. Volcanoes have a number of uses whether for displaying fresh cut flowers, climbing plants, holding a votive candle or for containing your small keepsakes. Each piece is truly one of a kind."

Great kitchen featured at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase by J. Weiss Design. Beautiful. Love all the Heath tile.
This is a very clever re-use project. Kulla Design takes disgarded window shutters and transforms them into CD racks.
If you're in the market for a classic chair - now is the time. DWR is having their Knoll sale with 15% off and free shipping.
Love this DIY pedestal sink using the Xavier Pauchard Marais stool and a simple white vessel basin. Would work great for a tight spot in a small bathroom.
Very cool UK shop with tons of gift-worthy items.
The winner of Apartment Therapy's "Small Cool" contest. The 478 SF home was built in 1928 and located in San Francisco. See more about it here.
Since we're on a bath kick, some beautiful outdoor showers rounded up by Sunset.
Remodelista has some beautiful Japanese-inspired bath tubs and info on the architects who designed the bathrooms. These look so relaxing...
In honor of earth day, we have some cool leaf silhouettes created by Jenny Lee Fowler. Just mail in a clear photo of your loved one and she creates a very unique portrait.
Beautiful greenery from Flora Grubb Gardens and a nice interview of her on Design*Sponge.
Sleek and modern for your little feathered friends. From German store Das rote Paket.
A 4,000 square foot "Brooklyn Gothic" condo featured in Cookie magazine is now for sale. The 3 bedroom, 3 bath home features 28 stained glass windows, 3 wood-burning fireplaces, and a private terrace. All quite rare in NYC. Of course, you will need to pluck some serious cash from your backyard money tree. This one is not cheap. See the listing here.
These fireplaces are relatively new (2005), and they are really taking off. The gas fireplaces are totally customizable, simple, and can be worked into almost any type of room. Below are some inspiration photos from Design Milk.
